Building a small wardrobe around a personal palette
#1
I keep landing between Deep Winter and Deep Summer because the obvious signs do not all point in one direction. There is clear depth in my hair and eyebrows but my eyes are lighter and slightly muted rather than bright. Black is acceptable but can look severe while charcoal and deep navy are easier. Muted blue is harmonious but can drain my complexion so softness alone has not settled the question. I used a deep winter color palette and selected comparable summer shades rather than judging unrelated colors. So far, icy pink seems clearer than mauve but cobalt is much stronger on me than smoky blue. I photographed every comparison in the same daylight with a bare face and kept the camera exposure fixed. Can a Summer have enough natural depth to make Winter seem plausible or do the clearer colors carry more weight than eye softness? Which two or three drape pairs would you test next before spending money on a professional consultation?
