By Hon. Amb. Kingland Justin
In his usual energetic manner and strong commitment to national unity, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, on 6th December, attended the 50th Anniversary of the Congregation of the Brothers of St. Stephen at the Brothers of St. Stephen’s Independent Station, Nkwelle Ezunaka.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by Cardinal Francis Arinze, alongside the Pope’s representative to Nigeria Michael Francis Crotty, and the Archbishop of Onitsha, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Okeke.
After the celebration, Mr. Peter Obi proceeded to Awka for the book presentation by Igwe Laz Ekwueme at the International Conference Centre, Awka, where he addressed the audience.
The people expressed that, just like in 2023, the nation is waiting for Mr. Peter Obi to make his next move ahead of 2027. Many declared their readiness to stand by him anytime, any day, and under any party, insisting that the people’s mandate was stolen in 2023 but that hope remains alive as 2027 approaches.
Thereafter, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi travelled to Enugu to celebrate the 80th birthday of Chief Ben Ulasi. He wished the celebrant good health, long life, and God’s continuous protection. Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh was also in attendance.
At the Enugu event, everywhere erupted in joy as soon as Mr. Peter Obi entered the venue, reflecting the hope and confidence Nigerians continue to place in him across the country.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Benson noted that His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi rightfully won the 2023 presidential election, but Nigerians witnessed how it was manipulated. He added that Mr. Obi should prepare to contest again in 2027, as Nigerians still look to him with great hope.
