Why Peter Obi Stands Out.
From Coffee Shop Conversations to National Reality: Why Peter Obi Stands Out.
I always speak about how much Peter Obi genuinely cares about the everyday struggles of ordinary Nigerians, and what happened this morning says it all.
After returning from a meeting, he stopped by a coffee shop. True to who he is, he didn’t just walk past, he engaged. He asked the staff how they were faring, and their response was blunt: things are hard.
He leaned in, wanting to understand more. “How?” he asked.
That was when the reality came pouring out.
One staff member shared that what used to cost ₦500 for daily transport now costs ₦2000. Another said ₦700 has skyrocketed to ₦5000 just to get to work and back.
He asked the next important question: “Have your salaries increased?”
Their answer? No.
He listened carefully, attentively, and acknowledged their pain. He made it clear that this is the harsh reality millions of Nigerians are facing today, and a strong reminder that leadership must do more to ease the burden on the people.
This is what leadership looks like: listening, understanding, and truly caring.
Nigeria cannot afford to lose him come 2027.
A New Nigeria is POssible
