Peter Obi Resigned from PDP

No he didn’t pull out of presidential primary rather he quit PDP in line with the amended new electoral law that stipulates that once a candidate contests an election on a particular party platform wether he/she wins or loses such an aspirant has lost the electoral right to jump to another party to still stand an election. In Peter Obi’s case he has weighed his options in PDP and the body language of the party that refused to zone the party ticket to the south east and a new mega party nnpn has offered him a rancour free ticket with kwankwaso as his vice. He wasn’t the only one in that league. The former deputy senate president, Ike ekeremadu and the Senate minority leader, the vocal Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe also did the same thing. Even Alex Otti who was contesting the governorship primaries of APC in abia state just resigned to join labour party to avoid being caught across electoral fire. That’s politics for you interest first. Process of alignment and realignment begins
