Today, 27th February 2025, North East Leadership Summit took place in Gombe International Hotel.
Y’all should recall that, it all started with the South East Obidient Movement Symposium that happened in Anambra State in November, 8- 2024, it is also important to know that the North East Obidient leadership Summit followed suit, furtherance to give members the same energy and vibe of the movement and be on the loop to maintain momentum.
THE IMPORTANT OF THESE SUMMITS BY OBIDIENT MOVEMENT UNDER THE NATIONAL COORDINATOR, DR. YENUSA TANKO.
These Summits are very important because it provides a platform for high-level Obidient leaders and members to gather, discuss critical issues, build more trust than ever, and potentially reach significant agreements on complex matters with their circle, particularly in matters affecting the existence of the movement , often leading to concrete actions and policy changes through face-to-face interactions that can be more impactful than regular national channels; essentially acting as a key tool for addressing global and national challenges requiring coordinated efforts from multiple parties.
Key points about the importance of these summits:
High-level decision-making
To bring together top OM decision-makers, allowing them to have direct engagement and the potential to make significant commitments or policy decisions on important issues concerning the movement.
Symbolic value:
The act of convening these summits can signify the seriousness of an issue and the commitment of the leaders and members across participating States and to address it.
Relationship building:
To be able to have one on one interactions between the leaders and members at the summit and to foster trust and understanding, facilitating future cooperation among themselves.
Public awareness:
These Summits often generate significant media attention, raising public awareness about critical issues and putting pressure on leaders and members to take necessary actions required.
Negotiation platform:
These Summits also provides structured environment for negotiating agreements on complex issues, particularly when multiple members of the movement are involved.
Finally, We strongly reaffirm our unwavering support for His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, whose leadership is topnotch to no other, a New Nigeria is indeed POssible .
We cannot end without giving a healthy and sounding kudos to our able National Coordinator, Dr. Yenusa Tanko, for his consistency with moving the movement forward in the right direction. We also extend our gratitude to the Chairman Central Organizing and Planning Committee North East Leadership Summit at Gombe International Hotel, Hon. Joseph Enan Maigari, all the Distinguished Guests, and Eminent Stakeholders who graced the event.
