Is Israel a Colonial State?

“I, the LORD, will roar like a lion. And when I roar, my people will return trembling from the west.” Hosea 11:10

The coastal city of Tel Aviv was attacked by multiple suicide drones, carrying lots of explosives, many were shot down by the United States and other missile defense systems… But one exploded near the shore, and one got through and bombed a building very close to the United States Consulate… The terrorist Houthis claimed responsibility!!

When the first waves of Aliyah began, Israel honestly did not have much to offer. In the 1800s, Israel was part of the Ottoman Empire, along with Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and many other modern states. However, in the aftermath of World War 1, the Ottoman Empire crumbled into oblivion.

Some historians say that the Ottoman Empire was a take over of the Byzantine Empire, and the Byzantine Empire was a take over from the Roman Empire. This suggestion is based off the similar style of governance and taxation systems between the three empires. The seat of government of the Ottoman Empire was in Constano

Prior to the waves of Aliyah, there were about 30,000 Jewish people already planted and living in Israel. Due to the persecution and antisemitism in Eastern Europe, in 1882 – 1903, the first wave of aliyah began. There were about 25,000 brave souls that immigrated to which was back then the Ottoman Empire. When they arrived, the area was barren, disease infested with malaria, and the Ottoman Empire hostile. Under the Empire there was a certain level of religious freedom, but both Christians and Jews had to pay an extra tax, couldn’t ride a horse, and other restrictions. This made it very difficult for the communities who were not Muslim.

In 1916, when the Ottoman Empire had met its end, England and France under the Sykes-Picot Agreement, partitioned off the Middle East into mandate territories. In 1917 Britain obtained the British Mandate of Palestine. So in essence, many of the countries that border Israel, were also created. For example, the state of Jordan and Iraq was never mentioned ever in history before.
