Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – The Obidient Movement’s West Africa diaspora mobilization received a major boost this week as the NNPO Critical Mobilization Tour, led by Hon. Amb. Justin Kingland, PRO and Spokesman of the Directorate of Mobilization, for Obidient Movement, concluded its Abidjan leg with resounding success and renewed political fervor for 2027.

‎Hon. Amb. Kingland, who has been on a strategic tour across West African countries including Ghana and Togo, arrived in Abidjan last Wednesday. His visit saw engagements with NNPO executives, members of the Nigerian community, as well as the Eze cabinet and titled chiefs in Côte d’Ivoire. The high point of the visit included his presence at the coronation of the King of Bouaké, where he addressed a massive audience comprising Nigerians from the Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo ethnic groups and all the Nigeria community, unified in their support for His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi.

‎The tour’s message was clear: Peter Obi is the only credible and worthy presidential candidate for Nigeria in 2027. According to Hon. Kingland, the purpose of the mobilization was to “reignite hope” and galvanize diaspora support behind the Obidient Movement and its mission to reclaim Nigeria from failed leadership.

‎”Across Ghana, Togo, and now Abidjan, Nigerians in the diaspora are declaring with one voice that 2027 belongs to the people. It belongs to hope, integrity, and competence,  and that is why we are standing with Peter Obi,”~ he stated.

‎During meetings with the Nigerian community, Hon. Kingland introduced the Obidient Movement’s registration portal, which many in Abidjan had not yet encountered. Immediate registration began across networks, as the diaspora recommitted to full participation in the movement. Many recounted their disillusionment after the 2023 elections, expressing how they had funded trips and votes, only to feel betrayed by the electoral outcome. However, Hon. Kingland’s message reinvigorated their commitment.

‎”Some paid for up to 10 people to return home to vote. They were disappointed, but today, they are energized again. They understand that Nigeria happened to all of us, but we must fight for the future of our children and unborn generations,” ~Kingland inserted.

‎He reminded the diaspora of Peter Obi’s sacrifices and humility,  a leader who endures insults, maintains composure, and continues to inspire millions through service and sacrifice. “Obi has never wavered. He represents all of us. He always says, ‘You are the ones running for presidency through me,’ and we must stand by him.”

‎The Abidjan tour also revealed a significant shift: a unified Nigerian diaspora, transcending ethnic and regional divides, united behind Peter Obi’s vision. The Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo all spoke with one voice, declaring support for a New Nigeria.

‎They also rejected the narrative being pushed by the ruling APC, led by President Tinubu, noting that no amount of political cross-carpeting or gathering of desperate governors into APC can match the determination and will of the people.

‎“Tinubu and his cohort may gather defecting governors, but they cannot defeat the spirit of Nigerians longing for change,” Hon. Kingland affirmed. “This movement is people-powered, and 2027 will be heavy on the establishment.”

‎Local chiefs and kings echoed the diaspora’s support, calling on Peter Obi to personally visit Nigerians in West Africa to further inspire the momentum. Hon. Kingland promised to deliver their message.

‎The NNPO (New Nigeria is POssible) is currently the only structured and active Obidient support group across key West African countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Benin Republic, Togo, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The group has pledged to expand its grassroots mobilization ahead of 2027.

‎As the tour concludes in Abidjan and continues with key meetings in Ghana, Hon. Amb. Justin Kingland emphasized that this effort is already bearing fruit.

‎”This is more than NNPO. It is a movement for all Nigerians in home and abroad. The numbers and passion we’re witnessing surpass what we saw in 2023. This movement is alive and unstoppable,” ~he declared.

‎Registration continues, and diaspora Nigerians are encouraging their relatives and peers back home to join the momentum. The Obidient Movement is solidifying its base, and its leaders remain confident that Peter Obi remains the singular hope for a better Nigeria.

‎“We are one family, under one leader,  Peter Obi. Come 2027, the people will speak again, and this time, the outcome will reflect their will,”~  Hon. Kingland concluded.
