President Prabowo Subianto Arrives in Beijing

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing, People’s Republic of China (PRC), on Friday, November 8, 2024, at around 18:30 local time. After the plane came to a complete stop, President Prabowo descended the plane’s stairs and was greeted by the PRC Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han Jun and the PRC Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong.

In addition, there were also seen welcoming President Prabowo’s arrival, namely the Indonesian Ambassador to the PRC Djauhari Oratmangun, the Indonesian Defense Attaché in Beijing Brigadier General (TNI) Mar. Benny P. Nadeak, and a small child who gave a bouquet of flowers. Afterwards, there were also honorary troops who welcomed and accompanied President Prabowo to the vehicle.

From the airport, President Prabowo then continued his journey to the hotel where he spent the night in Beijing. The next day, President Prabowo is scheduled to have a meeting with President Xi Jinping which will be held at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing.

In addition, the Head of State is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Premier Li Qiang and Chairman of the PRC National People’s Congress Zhao Leji. Both meetings are also planned to be held at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing.

Also accompanying President Prabowo on this visit were Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Deputy Minister of Defense Doni Hermawan, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie, Chief of Staff of the Air Force Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono, and Chief of Staff of the Navy Admiral Muhammad Ali.
