With all due respect, Senator Dave Umahi, enough is enough.
You do not have the constitutional, moral, or political authority to tell the people of the Southeast who they should or should not vote for. You are neither the mouthpiece nor the spokesman of the Southeast.

The people of the Southeast are politically enlightened and capable of making their own choices without anyone dictating to them. Their votes are personal, and they alone will decide who deserves them.

If you disagree with Mr. Peter Obi’s vision or policies, engage him on those issues. But repeatedly calling on the Southeast not to vote for him is unnecessary and does not reflect the democratic values we should all uphold.

As the Minister of Works, your primary responsibility is to deliver on the mandate entrusted to you by Nigerians. That is where your energy should be directed. Leave the campaign to the candidates and allow the electorate to make their decision freely.
In a democracy, leaders are chosen by the people, not by politicians speaking on behalf of an entire region.

Come 2027, the people of the Southeast, alongside millions of Nigerians, will make their choice peacefully and democratically at the ballot box.
A New Nigeria is POssible.
