President Joe Biden

Joe Biden granted a full pardon to his son Hunter Biden in December 2024, reversing previous promises that he would not use his presidential authority to intervene in the federal criminal case that ensnared Hunter Biden. The pardon includes a guilty verdict on charges of violating federal laws related to firearms possession and taxes.

Hunter Biden said in the interview, “it’s really very heavy and sad to see… I hope he complains more, because his condition is not good,”

Joe Biden has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in May 2025. The former president then underwent hormone treatment and a series of radiation therapy.

The Prostate cancer suffered by former President Joe Biden has spread further, Hunter Biden said in an interview with the BBC. Joe Biden’s son gave the latest news that is quite concerning about the health condition of the 83-year-old man.

“The cancer has spread, metastasized to bones and other parts of the body. It feels very painful. This condition was very disabling in many ways, yet he persisted. He is still going about his activities… He is very confident in the future of this country.”

In a BBC interview that covered these topics, Hunter Biden also alluded to his father’s decision to grant him a pardon in the final weeks of his presidency, while expressing deep gratitude for the move.

“In that regard, I’m the luckiest person there could be,” Hunter Biden said. “I was the only person who got that, and I’m very grateful for it.”
