Rising from it’s well attended meeting today, the council of Labour Party states chairmen has declared as unfortunate, the needles crises rocking the NWC.

Speaking on behalf of the thirty six (36) state Labour Party chairmen, Mr. Ceekay Igara who is the Chairman of the council of Labour Party state chairmen, posited as follows:

  1. That the council passed vote of confidence on Barrister Julius Abure as the Labour Party national Chairman;
  2. That no fund was missing.
  3. That there was no truth in the rumour that there is plan to suspend the national leader of the party, His Excellency Peter Obi.
  4. That council supports the call by the national leader, His Excellency Peter Obi for a thorough audit of the account.

Speaking further, the Chairman of the council added that it is unfortunate that the NWC could allow external forces into it’s ranks.
