Report on NNPO Mobilization Tour – Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
Côte d’Ivoire-Abidjan Saturday, May 24, 2025
The ongoing critical mobilization tour of the (NNPO) New Nigeria is POssible, aka, “NIGERIANS NEED PETER OBI” movement is still in progress. Currently, I am in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. I arrived on Wednesday, ahead of the major event scheduled for Sunday.
While enroute to Abidjan, I was informed about a possible coup d’etat to the government of Abidjan, but arriving in the city of Abidjan l, I found out that both the local and the foreigners are not aware of the coup, and every line we’re busy going on with their daily business. Before my arrival in Cote D’Ivoire, I called and reached out to those who invited me and I was told not to shiver, I was encouraged to continue my journey that the country has no stress of which I continued, because I was in the spirit and highly awoke in the spirit of Obidient and the most High the King of Kings.
As part of our activities, we traveled to Bouaké, the interior part of Côte d’Ivoire, which is after the new capital. Here, I witnessed the arrival of many members of the Nigerian community who came together for the coronation of a new king of Bouaké. I am honored to be the special guest for this significant event.
My mission here is to deliver the message of Hope, the message of the Obidient Movement, COPDEM and the alliance with ADC, and the vision of a New Nigeria that is Possible with Mr. Peter Obi. During my visit, I had the opportunity to engage with some of the traditional chives in an interview, and they warmly and happily received me and the message I brought.
One notable moment was during an interview with Chief Naememe, originally from Ukunu village, Anambra State. He shared how they mobilized strongly in 2023, with many people traveling back to Nigeria to vote in the presidential election. However, the outcome was disheartening, as the candidate the whole country voted was not declared the winner. According to him, their hopes were shattered. But seeing me in Côte d’Ivoire, bringing the message of a New Nigeria, has reignited their spirit. He described it as a revival and assured that their mobilization for 2027 will surpass what was done in 2023. He expressed confidence that the coming election will be better, fairer, and 101% more transparent. He also applauded the ongoing merger and coalition efforts, commending the leadership of Dr Yunusa Tanko, the NC of OM, Morris Money, the Director, Directorate of Mobilization, Obidient Movement, Barrister Daniel Elomba, the BOT Chairman of COPDEM and the entire team for our role in the movement’s advancement.
The main event is set for Sunday, where I will engage more extensively with the community. Many Nigerians have already arrived, while others are still on their way. The gathering is being held at the residence of the soon-to-be-crowned king. Notably, the Nigerian traditional leadership in Côte d’Ivoire enjoys a good relationship with the Ivorian government. Their chieftaincy titles are government-recognized and even acknowledged by ECOWAS. However, the community raised a concern: while other Nigerian ethnic groups across Côte d’Ivoire are actively mobilizing under the NNPO, the Anambra people, particularly those from Agulu, have been less involved. They assured me that things will change ahead of 2027. I personally spoke with members of the Anambra and Agulu communities, and they expressed renewed interest after my visit. They acknowledged that my presence signifies a serious and organized movement, and they are now ready to fully participate.
Interestingly, the same sentiments were echoed by Nigerians in Togo and Ghana. They are appealing to His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi to kindly consider choosing a date and venue to address all Nigerians living across West Africa. Alternatively, they are requesting a country-by-country tour, similar to the mobilization I am currently undertaking. They assured me of their full support and alignment, regardless of the approach. I promised to deliver their message directly to him.
In conclusion, we remain hopeful that this mobilization tour will yield significant results and have a lasting impact. The journey continues, and I will keep reporting and staying in touch as events unfold.
