Unity is our foundation. That was the message as the Obedient Movement Worldwide in Adamawa joined Muslim faithful for Iftar at Masjid Al-Noor mosque in Karewa, Yola. More than just a moment of breaking fast, the gathering was a bold statement—that Nigerians, regardless of faith or background, must stand together for a common future.
Speaking on behalf of the global coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, and the Northeast coordinator, Joseph Enan Maigari, Mr. Lucas Domgelma led the Obidient delegation, reaffirming Peter Obi’s vision of a united Nigeria. “We are not separate because of religion or ethnicity; we are one people with a shared destiny,” he said. He called on both Christians and Muslims to use this sacred season—Ramadan and Lent—to pray for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity.
The Imam of Masjid Al-Noor mosque, Karewa, welcomed the Obedient Movement’s gesture, stressing that faith should be a bridge, not a barrier. “We must never forget that we are all members of the same family,” said Imam Muhammed Umar. “Nigeria can only grow when we see each other as one people. Those who seek to divide us will only succeed if we let them.”
Members of the community echoed this message of togetherness. “Unity is our foundation as a people and a nation. We stand with Peter Obi in his commitment to a better Nigeria—one where everyone, regardless of background, works towards a common goal.”
Beyond the meal, the Iftar gathering was a statement of intent. The Obedients, through this act of solidarity, reinforced a simple truth—Nigeria’s strength lies in its unity. A prosperous nation is not built on division but on a shared commitment to progress, and that commitment must start with standing together.
